President's Report July 2013
Last Updated: 01/10/2013

Hello and welcome to the second half of the year.

Firstly I would like to welcome the new committee and I look forward to working with them over the next twelve months.

I must also thank the outgoing committee for their efforts over the last year.

We all must acknowledge and thank the clubs sponsors in George Thyssen of Polymech liquid plastic solutions for all your plastic and fibreglass needs, Shane Ryding of Inspired race developments and Russell Stuckey of Stuckeys tyre service, because they all make it that little bit easier for us to go racing and enjoy our cars.

On the racing front we have a break now to the last round at Phillip Island in October and the points score is very close.

We also have the opportunity to race at Historic Sandown in November and Island Magic at the end of November but these events do not count towards our club championship.

The last round at Winton was a very mixed weekend with the weather playing a big part in shuffling the results.

The highlight of the weekend was Scott Manson's outright win in race one against the open cars and the low point was a major crash in race four that resulted in Kochy's immaculate 1600 being heavily damaged.

Thankfully Anthony came out of it with no major injuries but a bit sore.

A big welcome to two new members who competed at Winton, Haydn Clarke, who put a big effort in, to come from South Australia with his very well presented Datsun 1600 and Adrian Skinner who has bought the Ex Rodrigues/Moffat 1600. Both acquitted themselves very well.

The August club meeting will be held at Garry Rogers Motorsport & will be preceded by a tour of the workshop.

The tour has limited numbers and is fully booked but obviously all club members are welcome and encouraged to attend the meeting which will get underway at around 8.30 with pizzas to follow.

The club has two new engine sealers, Lyndon Little at Little’s Competition Services in Bendigo & Chris Milton engine developments in Adelaide.

I hope to see you all at our next meeting.
